Alcohol Abuse Led to Rocker’s Death

Sometimes celebrities are positive role models for our children and, unfortunately, many times they are poor ones, especially when it comes to substance abuse.  Here is a recent example. The official cause of death for Jeff Hanneman (guitarist from Slayer) has been listed as alcohol-related liver scarring, known as cirrhosis.  Hanneman died on May 2, at age 49.  Hanneman’s band-mates were not aware of the serious extent of his liver problems until he was close to death.
