The members of the Ardsley SAYF Coalition would like to thank Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church — the sponsors of our first 5K Run/Walk. We would also like to thank all of our community members who got up so early on Saturday to spend the morning with us, either by participating in the 5K or to cheer on our runners/walkers.

The purpose of the 5K Run/Walk was to provide the community with a fun and healthy event that the whole family could participate in together. Studies have proven that spending time with your family is a protective factor for substance use and our goal is to help Ardsley’s youth to make healthy choices and be substance free.

We would like to congratulate our runners who came in first place in their category. They are Olivia Curtin and Matt Levey; Abigail Ripin and Devin Park; Danielle Felman and Alan Goetz; Marjorie Selig and Ken Curtin; Cathryn Devons and Kent Backlund.

Lastly, we would also like to thank La Catena, Golden Wok Café, The Pourhouse Tavern, Russo’s Deli and Stagioni Pizza for donating the gift cards for our prizes.
